I am a mechanical engineer at GATX Corporation working in downtown Chicago. GATX is one of the largest full-service railcar leasing companies in the US and is over 100 years old. I approve modifications to tank cars, mostly working with valves/fittings on the top and bottom of the car.

I love restoring worn-out mechanical systems. Often, this includes redesigning certain parts, and reengineering what I can to increase longevity and efficiency. I find freedom in turning trash back into treasure, and fixing what you have instead of buying new.
